Living for God

I came across a different kind of scripture today.  It says “Honor goes to kind and gracious women, mere money to cruel men.  Your own soul is nourished when you are kind; it is destroyed when you are cruel.”  Proverbs 11:16-17

I thought about that.  This means that to God kindness and graciousness means more to God than money, the thing that we value so highly on this earth and in this kingdom.  Doesn’t it make you wonder sometime what kind of King we serve and what his Kingdom consists of.  His ways are so different, even his thoughts.  For example, first shall be last or how about, the greatest leader is the greatest servant.  Where on earth would you find these kind of examples besides Jesus.  Christ is the only God that I know of that died for us.  All of the other so-called gods want you to die for them, not Christ, all he wants is for you to live for him.  We however find that hard to do. I am into life and living, not death and dying.
